Important Dates
The UNL Fall 2024 semester will begin on Monday, August 26th. The last day of classes will be Friday, December 6th, with final exams taking place from December 9th-13th. The official graduation ceremony will be held on Saturday, December 21st.
Events and Festivals
One of the highlights of the Fall 2024 semester is Homecoming Week, which will take place from October 7th-12th. This week is full of events, including a parade, pep rallies, and the Homecoming game. Another popular event is the Harvest of Harmony Parade, which takes place on October 5th.
For those interested in the arts, the Lied Center for Performing Arts has a full schedule of events, including concerts, plays, and dance performances. The Nebraska State Fair also takes place during the Fall semester, from August 23rd-September 2nd.

When is the last day to drop a class?
The last day to drop a class with a full refund is September 6th. After that, you may still drop a class, but you will not receive a refund and a “W” will appear on your transcript.
When is midterm break?
Midterm break will take place from October 17th-18th. There will be no classes held on these days.
When will grades be posted?
Grades will be posted on December 20th.
